On March 18, 2026, we welcome a New Moon in Pisces at 6:23 PM Pacific Time. The Sun and Moon will both be at 28°26” Pisces, asking us to begin something new from a place that is emotionally honest and deeply rooted.

This New Moon is the seventh of seven consecutive New Moons occurring at 28 degrees. In traditional astrology, the 28th degree is ruled by Cancer, tying this entire series of New Moons to themes of emotional truth, family, safety, memory, and the foundations we build our lives upon.

These seven New Moons are not just asking us to begin again. They’re asking us to prioritize the emotional well-being of our communities. They are asking us to consider the implications our thoughts, words, and actions have on those outside of ourselves.

What is a New Moon?

A New Moon is a moment energetically  when something new is seeded. Not loudly, not all at once, but quietly, beneath the surface, the way roots begin to grow before anything breaks through the soil.

Use this New Moon to set intentions that are emotionally honest and practically grounded. Ask yourself not only what you want to grow, but what you are willing to show up for.

Find Pisces in your natal chart and identify the house it rules for you (if you’re not an Aries Rising, Pisces will govern a different house than its natural 12th-house placement).

Write down one intention for the next six months. Keep it simple, honest, and grounded. Ask yourself:

  • What am I willing to commit to?
  • What feels sustainable, not just desirable?
  • What truth needs to be honored in my life right now?
  • How do I want to grow in this area of life?
  • What do I want more of? How do I want to show up?
  • What needs to be released so there is room for new growth?

Light a candle, hold the intention in your mind, or say it out loud. Let it settle. There’s no rush, no perfection needed — only presence. This is the energy you are nurturing.

All About Pisces

Pisces is the natural ruler of the 12th house which has to do with our unconscious and things beyond the physical plane. It is traditionally associated with confinement and self-undoing, so it’s also known as the house of karma.

Planets in this house are often hidden from your conscious personality and are expressed in a psychic fashion or self-sacrifice.

Pisces energy is all about our intuition. Pisces is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions because Pisces is all about boundary less waters.

A mutable water sign, Pisces energy is friendly and likeable but it can also be moody and introspective. Pisces is concerned with subtle emotions and secret mystical depths. Pisces doesn’t necessarily feel at home in this world, they prefer their dreamy life created by their imagination and are easily influenced by their environment and those around them. Especially emotions.

Those with several Pisces placements tend to be very receptive to the emotions of others and can use these feelings to express themselves in creative and innovative ways. It’s a very artistic energy: think music, fashion, writing, anything that has emotion that is a shared experience.

Pisces are known for their emotions but they are also strong-willed when necessary. Making a decision can be difficult for them because they are so sensitive. They are truly compassionate, all about love and understanding different ways of living your life, and so they can be great at helping others.

Pisces is a water sign, a feminine energy. And this energy is very receptive and aware of our deeper, subtler emotions, the ones we sometimes carry at a subconscious level. They may seem moody but that is because they have access to a rainbow of emotions: fear, and dislike, to unconditional acceptance and love of the world.

Pisces has two ruling planets: Neptune and Jupiter. Neptune is a planet all about universal love. It’s a highly compassionate energy that is idealistic, imaginative, inspiring dreams, and psychic receptivity. Neptune rules spirituality, but also deception, trickery, deceit, and addictions associated with drugs, alcohol, media, and fantasy. Whereas Jupiter is the planet of faith, positivity, hope, and morality. Jupiter also represents expansion versus contraction like Saturn.

It’s all about aspirations, good humor, good will, mercy, but can be associated with blind optimism, overindulgence, and a lack of wisdom.

How to Work with This Energy Intentionally

  1. Identify your Pisces-ruled house in your natal chart. For example:
    • Aquarius Rising → Pisces rules your 2nd house: self worth, money (net worth), what you eat, your possessions, skills, and talents, and your voice.
    • Leo Rising → Pisces rules your 8th house: death and rebirth, the occult, sexuality, big life changes and transformations, inheritances, debts, taxes, and other people’s money.
    • Scorpio Rising → Pisces rules your 5th house: creativity, children, romance, and self-expression
  2. Set New Moon intentions through this lens:
    • What area of life is illuminated by Pisces?
    • What do I want to grow, shift, or expand here?
    • Six months from now, what would I love to feel or experience?

Write, speak, or visualize your intentions. They will echo into the Partial Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Pisces on August 27, 2026.

How will we experience the Pisces New Moon on a collective level?

Compassion meets accountability.
Intuition meets discernment.
Dreams meet structure.
Rebellion meets responsibility.

This Pisces New Moon asks humanity to grow up spiritually.

We cannot escape into fantasy.
We cannot cling to outdated systems.
We cannot fight without wisdom.

The invitation is to build a more humane future without losing clarity. To feel deeply without drowning. To imagine boldly while laying bricks carefully.

It is oceanic. It is electric. It is karmic.

And it is asking us to choose maturity in how we dream.

A New Moon always resets the emotional field, but in Pisces, the New Moon reset happens underwater. This is a collective emotional softening. Feelings rise from the deep ocean floor.

On a societal level, themes of compassion, mental health, spiritual longing, and collective grief surface whenever we have a new moon in Pisces. It is a time of psychic clearing. The cosmos invites us to examine our emotional patterns without dramatics, without cold detachment. Just awareness.

This is fertile soil for forgiveness and subconscious rewiring.

We’re also reconsidering, rethinking what is our personal responsibility and what is out of our control. Saturn is conjunct with the Sun and the Moon. This is the weight in the water we’re feeling at the time of the Pisces New Moon.

Saturn asks: What are you responsible for? What structures are dissolving because they were built on fantasy? Remember Saturn is this tough fatherly love energy, but it’s also energy related to karma.

Collectively, we may see sobering realities around institutions, governments, leadership, and spiritual authority. Illusions thin out. Accountability arrives and Saturn responds with boundaries, limitations, and constrictions.

This can feel heavy. But it is also stabilizing. Compassion is not enough now. It must be paired with boundaries, maturity, and long term thinking.

Dreams need scaffolding, after all.

Just when things feel dense, unexpected, sudden lightning flashes through the fog. Uranus offers inventive solutions, unconventional leaders, grassroots awakenings. Sudden insights. Technological or social shifts that crack open stagnant systems.

Collectively, this favors communities experimenting with new ways of living, organizing, and healing. It supports rebels with a cause.

In this case, innovation softens the rigidity Saturn brings. This is where the veil thins.

Heightened intuition, artistic urges, spiritual awakenings, but also misinformation, escapism, conspiracy thinking, addictions and escapism rise, and so does mass confusion. Neptune dissolves boundaries and puts an illusory veil over the truth. Without discernment, people can drift.

We may see powerful collective narratives emerging, some inspiring, some misleading. The key theme is discernment. Empathy without gullibility. Faith without fantasy.

Remember. Water can heal. It can also flood.

The mental atmosphere is charged.

Words become weapons or medicine. Debates intensify. Information spreads quickly. Bold opinions dominate headlines.

But with Jupiter’s support, there is also potential for visionary thinking, big conversations, philosophical breakthroughs.

Collectively, this could look like passionate public discourse, legal battles, investigative journalism, or bold declarations from leaders.

Think before reacting. Channel the fire into truth seeking, not personal attacks.

Pleasure versus prudence.

Financial markets, spending habits, social indulgences may swing toward excess. There is generosity and celebration energy, but also overextension.

On a collective level, we may see extravagant displays, cultural escapism, or moral debates around wealth and values.

Joy is allowed. Moderation is wise.

This is the deeper storyline of our era.

The dissolution of old myths. The restructuring of belief systems. Institutions built on illusion face reality checks. Spirituality must become grounded. Authority must become ethical.

Collectively, this Saturn-Neptune conjunction challenges false prophets, exposes corruption cloaked in righteousness, and asks humanity to build faith systems rooted in responsibility rather than blind devotion.

It is karmic. It is clarifying. It is not comfortable, but it is necessary.

These generational aspects hum beneath everything like tectonic plates shifting.

We are in evolutionary territory.

Old power structures are cracking. Technological breakthroughs are reshaping consciousness. Spiritual frameworks are being deconstructed and reimagined. Humanity is renegotiating its relationship to control, freedom, and collective destiny.

There is an undercurrent of profound transformation. Not chaotic for the sake of chaos. Transformational with purpose.
