Taurus Full Moon | October 2026

Finding Security When the Ground Shifts

October 25, 2026 | 9:11 PM Pacific Time | 2°45′ Taurus

What happens when the things that once made us feel secure no longer feel so certain?

The October 25 Taurus Full Moon brings our attention to the relationship between security, self-worth, material stability, and the people and values we rely on.

Taurus wants to feel grounded. It wants to know that what we’re building is sustainable, that our needs matter, and that the things we invest our time and energy into will support us over the long term.

But sometimes, growth requires us to question the very things we once depended on.

With Venus, the ruler of Taurus, retrograde in Libra after recently sliding back from Scorpio, our relationships, finances, material values, and ideas about what makes life feel beautiful and worthwhile are top of mind. We may find ourselves reconsidering what kind of love and nurturing support we need from the people closest to us, and if we share a similar worldview or vision for what we want the world to look like, feel like.

This is potentially a time where the relationships and material items, the income streams we’re used to, the things that make us feel safe, may be experiencing some disruptions. The medicine then of this Full Moon is about learning to recognize the difference between genuine security and familiarity.

The Astrology of the October Taurus Full Moon

Revisiting What Began in May

This Full Moon connects to the Super New Moon in Taurus we had on May 16, 2026. Think back to what was happening in your life around that time, particularly in the area of your birth chart ruled by Taurus.

What was going on in your life at that time? How were your relationships? Your finances? What was your relationship with the material world looking like at the time?

Now consider what’s changed since then. Have your priorities shifted? Have you learned something about your needs or values? Is there something you once wanted that no longer feels aligned with the life you’re trying to build?

The Significance of 2° Taurus

This Full Moon occurs at 2°45′ Taurus. It’s interesting because the second degree is ruled by Taurus. So there is some sort of new beginning unfolding here, but it doesn’t look like we’re finding our footing at this Full Moon. It’s more so that our awareness of a need for change is happening around this time. And it may feel like the ground beneath our feet is rumbling, shifting.

This is also the first of five consecutive Full Moons occurring at the second degree, with the fifth and final Full Moon in this sequence being a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in February 2026.

To me this signals that this rumbling, reorganization is not an isolated event, but is more so an extended opportunity to reflect on what is developing, what we’re learning, and how our relationship with the world around us is changing.

The Taurus symbolism is particularly relevant to the themes of material security, personal values, and the foundations we rely on. As we move through this sequence, consider how your understanding of stability may evolve.

I also want to remind you that when I created the update for October 2026 and shared the tarot reading for the month, a big theme that popped up both times was focusing on gratitude, but gratitude not for material things, but for basic necessities we take for granted.

Perhaps that’s part of what Taurus is trying to get us to slowly adapt starting with this Full Moon? A renewed appreciation for life, for our loved ones presence, for clean drinking water, for the gentle sea breeze, the warmth of the sun, the tall trees that provide shade and shelter.

Taurus: The Need for Security

Taurus is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, connecting it with our relationship to money, pleasure, beauty, self-worth, and the material world.

Under a Taurus Moon, we may become more aware of what helps us feel safe and supported. That could mean financial security, physical comfort, reliable relationships, or simply having enough time and space to meet our own needs.

We may also become more protective of what we’ve built. Taurus energy can be patient, practical, affectionate, and steadfast, but it can become stubborn when change threatens the familiar.

The question isn’t whether stability matters. Of course it does.

The question is whether the things we’re holding onto are still helping us build a life that reflects our values.

Sometimes the most important investment we can make isn’t financial. It’s an investment in our own self-worth, in relationships that offer mutual care, or in the courage to let go of something that no longer supports us.

Scorpio: The Emotions Beneath the Surface

Across the zodiac, the Taurus Full Moon faces the Sun in Scorpio.

Where Taurus seeks stability, Scorpio asks us to look beneath the surface and acknowledge what is changing. Scorpio is associated with emotional depth, intimacy, vulnerability, shared resources, and the power dynamics that shape our relationships.

We may become more conscious of feelings we’ve been avoiding or needs we haven’t felt comfortable expressing. Jealousy, fear, resentment, or a desire for control can emerge when we feel vulnerable or uncertain.

But these emotions aren’t inherently bad. They can offer valuable information about where we feel unsafe, where our boundaries need attention, and where we need greater honesty with ourselves and others.

Scorpio also reminds us of our capacity for empathy, emotional courage, and transformation. We don’t have to let fear dictate our responses. We can use what we discover to understand ourselves more deeply and make more intentional choices.

Venus Retrograde: Reconsidering Love, Values, and Support

Venus, the ruler of this Full Moon, is retrograde in Libra after recently moving back from Scorpio. At 29° Libra, Venus is at the final degree of the sign, adding another layer to our reflection on relationships, fairness, and shared values.

Venus retrograde periods invite us to reconsider our relationships, finances, self-worth, and the values that guide our choices. In Libra, these questions often involve reciprocity, fairness, compromise, and the balance between our own needs and the needs of others.

Are your relationships built on mutual respect, or have you been doing most of the emotional work?

Are you compromising because you genuinely want to find common ground, or because you’re afraid of what might happen if you speak honestly?

Do the people around you make room for your needs, or are you expected to keep the peace at your own expense?

These questions aren’t limited to romantic relationships. They can apply to friendships, family dynamics, professional partnerships, and the communities we belong to.

With Venus retrograde, we may find ourselves reconsidering what love and support look like in practice. Sometimes that means having an uncomfortable conversation. Sometimes it means recognizing a pattern we’re ready to change. And sometimes it means learning that maintaining a relationship and maintaining our own integrity aren’t always the same thing.

The goal isn’t to make every relationship comfortable. It’s to build relationships in which honesty, care, and mutual respect can coexist.

Fixed Energy, Fire and Air: When Conviction Meets Uncertainty

The astrological energy surrounding this Full Moon emphasizes fixed signs, particularly the fire and air energies of Leo and Aquarius. There’s relatively little earth energy and some water, creating a contrast between the Taurus Moon’s desire for stability and the broader chart’s emphasis on ideas, convictions, and emotional intensity.

Fixed energy can be passionate, determined, loyal, and persistent. It wants to stand by its values and protect what matters. But when circumstances feel threatening, that same determination can become rigid.

Leo brings creative expression, pride, and passion. Aquarius brings intellectual curiosity, social awareness, and a willingness to question established systems. Together, these energies can inspire new ideas and a desire to build a different future.

But new information doesn’t always make us feel more secure.

We may discover truths that challenge our assumptions, encounter perspectives that unsettle our beliefs, or realize that people we once considered dependable don’t necessarily share our values.

When the chart offers little earth energy to balance all that fixed fire and air, the symbolism highlights a potential disconnect between what we believe and what we can practically rely on.

We may know what we want to change without knowing exactly how to create something more stable in its place.

This tension can make our relationships feel particularly unsettled. Our usual ride-or-die relationships may become the very relationships we’re questioning. We may feel compelled to defend our beliefs, demand answers, or engage in conversations we would otherwise avoid because our sense of self-worth or security feels threatened.

We might also turn toward the tangible things we can control: spending money, reorganizing our homes, redecorating, or trying to create order in our immediate surroundings.

There is nothing inherently wrong with wanting beauty or order. These can be grounding and nourishing. But it’s worth noticing when our efforts to create external stability are compensating for uncertainty we haven’t yet addressed within ourselves or our relationships.

When things feel tense, creativity can offer another outlet. Painting, writing poetry, making music, dancing, cooking, or creating a more nurturing home environment can help us process feelings that are difficult to put into words.

Beauty isn’t frivolous when it helps us reconnect with what makes life meaningful.

The invitation is to recognize when our desire for security is helping us make grounded decisions—and when fear is pushing us to control what we cannot.

A Collective Reckoning With Security

On a collective level, this Full Moon offers a useful lens for reflecting on a world that may feel increasingly unfamiliar.

When social, economic, political, or cultural changes become difficult to ignore, it’s tempting to assume that things will eventually return to the way they were.

But what if some of what we’re experiencing requires us to reconsider our definition of normal?

Taurus asks us to examine the foundations of our lives. Scorpio asks us to confront the realities beneath the surface. And Venus retrograde in Libra brings our attention back to the relationships, agreements, and shared values that help hold our lives together.

We may find ourselves questioning institutions, social expectations, or relationships we once considered dependable. We may also discover that some of our assumptions about security were built around circumstances that are no longer guaranteed.

That uncertainty can be uncomfortable. It can also be an invitation to become more intentional about what we build next.

When external circumstances feel unpredictable, we may turn toward creativity as a way to reconnect with ourselves. We may also feel more protective of our resources, more sensitive to criticism, or less willing to compromise on the values that matter most to us.

The challenge is to remain open to new information without abandoning our own discernment, and to stand up for what we believe without losing sight of the humanity of the people around us.

You don’t have to abandon your values to adapt to change. But you may need to reconsider how you live them.

All About Taurus Energy

Taurus is a Venus-ruled earth sign associated with:

  • Money, wealth, and material resources
  • Food, nourishment, and the pleasures of the senses
  • Stability, security, and sustainability
  • Self-worth and personal values
  • The body and physical comfort
  • Beauty, art, and creativity
  • Long-term investments and what we cultivate over time

Taurus is often described as the lover of the zodiac.

This energy appreciates quality. Luxury. Beauty. Comfort. Reliability.

Taurus teaches us that sustainability matters more than speed. A meaningful life isn’t built through constant acceleration. Sometimes the most valuable things require patience, consistency, and care.

Taurus encourages us to ask:

  • Is this worth my time and energy?
  • Does this reflect my values?
  • Do I feel supported by what I’m building?
  • Can this sustain me over the long term?
  • Am I holding onto this because it is right for me, or because it is familiar?

Taurus can struggle to release what feels safe, even when that security has become limiting. But growth doesn’t always mean acquiring something new. Sometimes it means recognizing that what once served us has reached the end of its purpose.

Sustainable security begins with understanding what truly matters to us.

Who Will Feel This Full Moon Most?

The Full Moon occurs at 2°45′ Taurus, making it particularly relevant to people with natal planets or significant chart points in the early degrees of the fixed signs: Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius.

The following degree ranges offer additional ways to explore how this lunation may interact with your natal chart. They’re based on the degree and aspect framework used in this forecast.

Most Challenged

  • 27°–29° Cancer, Capricorn, Libra, and Aries
  • 0°–8° Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius

Most Harmoniously Activated

  • 27°–29° Gemini, Sagittarius, Leo, and Aquarius
  • 0°–8° Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn, and Pisces

More Subtly Activated

  • 27°–29° Taurus, Scorpio, Pisces, and Virgo
  • 0°–8° Gemini, Sagittarius, Aries, and Libra

Remember: Challenging doesn’t mean bad. Harmonious doesn’t mean easy.

Sometimes friction helps us recognize something we can no longer ignore. A challenging aspect can bring an opportunity to reassess our priorities, while a harmonious aspect may offer room to integrate changes or explore new possibilities.

Your entire birth chart provides more context than a single degree or placement, so use these correspondences as a starting point for reflection rather than a definitive prediction.

Taurus Full Moon Horoscopes by Rising Sign

Read your Rising Sign first for the most relevant house-based interpretation.

In whole-sign astrology, your Rising Sign determines the house placements used in these horoscopes. Your Sun sign can offer another layer of reflection, but your Rising Sign helps identify the area of life activated by this Full Moon.

Aries Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 2nd house of income, self-worth, personal values, and material stability.

What makes you feel secure, and how much of that security depends on things outside your control?

This is an opportunity to reconsider your relationship with money, the resources available to you, and the ways you value yourself. Your financial circumstances matter, but your bank balance isn’t a measure of your worth.

If your confidence depends on your income, relationship status, or ability to provide for everyone around you, what happens when those circumstances change?

Consider how you can strengthen your foundations without making your self-worth conditional on what you own, earn, or accomplish.

Taurus Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 1st house of identity, self-expression, and personal growth.

You may be reflecting on who you’re becoming and how that identity fits into your relationships and everyday life.

What parts of yourself have you outgrown? Where have you been adapting to other people’s expectations at the expense of your own needs?

This is an opportunity to reconnect with your values and consider how you want to show up in the world. You don’t have to become a completely different person to grow. Sometimes growth means giving yourself permission to be more fully who you already are.

Gemini Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 12th house of rest, reflection, subconscious patterns, and closure.

Something beneath the surface may be asking for your attention. You might be reconsidering an old belief, recognizing a pattern in your relationships, or realizing that an assumption you’ve carried for years no longer makes sense.

Give yourself room to process what you’re learning before deciding what it means.

Open your heart and mind to other perspectives, including those that challenge your own understanding. You may discover that a shift in perspective helps you recognize a pattern you’ve been ready to release.

Not every realization requires an immediate response. Rest, journaling, and quiet reflection can help you distinguish between what you genuinely believe and what you’ve absorbed from the people and environments around you.

Cancer Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 11th house of friendships, community, collective aspirations, and future goals.

Consider the future you’re working toward—not only for yourself, but for the communities and relationships that shape your life.

What kind of world do you want to help create? Who shares your vision? And are the people around you willing to work toward a future that reflects your values?

You may find yourself reconsidering a friendship, community, or long-term goal as your priorities evolve. You don’t have to agree on everything to build something meaningful together, but shared values and mutual respect matter.

Think about what you want to cultivate and who you want beside you as you do it.

Leo Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 10th house of career, public life, reputation, and legacy.

You may be reconsidering what success means to you and whether your current ambitions reflect your deeper values.

Perhaps success is becoming less about a prestigious title, financial status, or public recognition and more about the contribution you make. Maybe you want to pursue creative work, support a meaningful cause, or build something that reflects your values rather than someone else’s expectations.

You don’t have to abandon your ambitions. You can redefine them.

Ask yourself what you want to be known for—and whether the life you’re building makes room for the person you want to become.

Virgo Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 9th house of higher learning, philosophy, travel, and belief systems.

Your worldview may be evolving as new experiences challenge what you thought you knew.

You might find yourself reconsidering a long-held belief about relationships, belonging, or what makes you worthy of love and respect. You may also discover that someone else’s expectations have shaped your understanding of what is possible for you.

You are allowed to question the beliefs you’ve inherited and decide which ones still make sense.

If your relationships are struggling to accommodate your growth, consider whether you can make room for different perspectives without abandoning your own. A meaningful connection doesn’t require you to stop learning or changing.

Libra Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 8th house of intimacy, shared resources, vulnerability, and transformation.

You may be reconsidering what it means to feel supported in your closest relationships, particularly when emotional vulnerability and shared responsibilities are involved.

Are you comfortable expressing what you need? Do you feel that financial obligations, emotional labor, and intimate responsibilities are being shared fairly?

This can be an opportunity to bring greater honesty to conversations about trust, money, sex, and mutual care. You don’t need to assume that something is wrong to acknowledge that a conversation is overdue.

With Venus retrograde, questions of reciprocity and personal values may feel especially relevant. Give yourself permission to examine what you need from your relationships without assuming that having needs makes you difficult or demanding.

Scorpio Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 7th house of partnerships, committed relationships, and one-to-one connections.

Your relationships may be reflecting back questions about your values, boundaries, and expectations of mutual support.

Sometimes we discover that a relationship needs a different balance of responsibility or a more honest conversation about what each person wants. Other times, we learn something that challenges our assumptions about the people closest to us.

You don’t have to interpret every disagreement as a sign that a relationship is failing. But you can pay attention to whether the people in your life are willing to listen, learn, and make room for one another’s needs.

Healthy relationships aren’t built on perfect agreement. They’re built on respect, honesty, and the willingness to navigate differences without asking one person to disappear.

Sagittarius Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 6th house of daily routines, work, service, and well-being.

Consider whether the systems supporting your everyday life are actually sustainable.

Are your routines helping you feel grounded, or are you trying to do too much? Are you making room for rest and nourishment, or have you become so focused on meeting obligations that your own needs keep getting pushed aside?

Venus retrograde may also prompt reflection on body image, comfort, and the ways your relationship with yourself is influenced by external expectations.

You might feel more critical of your body, frustrated with how your clothes fit, or discouraged by a routine that doesn’t seem to be working. Before interpreting those feelings as evidence that something is wrong with you, consider whether emotional stress or relationship tension is affecting how you feel.

Rather than responding to discomfort with harsh self-criticism or an unrealistic overhaul of your routine, look for small adjustments that help you feel more supported.

You don’t have to earn rest by doing everything first. Caring for yourself is part of what makes it possible to care for others.

Capricorn Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 5th house of creativity, romance, pleasure, and self-expression.

What makes you feel alive? What helps you reconnect with joy, playfulness, and the freedom to express yourself?

You may be reconsidering how much room your life allows for creativity and pleasure, especially if practical responsibilities have taken priority.

If you have children, this may also be an opportunity to reflect on what they need to feel supported and connected. Security isn’t only about providing material comforts. Time, attention, play, and emotional presence matter, too.

You don’t have to justify every joyful experience by making it productive. Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can create is space to enjoy being alive.

Aquarius Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 4th house of home, family, roots, and emotional security.

You may be reflecting on what home means to you and whether your living environment and family relationships support your sense of belonging.

When relationships feel unsettled, it can be tempting to focus on the things we can control: reorganizing a room, redecorating, or making our surroundings feel more comfortable. Creating beauty in your environment can be genuinely nourishing, but it may not resolve the deeper need for emotional security.

Ask yourself what helps you feel at home in yourself.

Is it a physical place? The people you share it with? The freedom to express yourself without fear of criticism? The knowledge that you can set a boundary and still be treated with care?

You may not be able to control every change around you, but you can become more intentional about the kind of environment and relationships you want to cultivate.

Pisces Rising

The Taurus Full Moon activates your 3rd house of communication, learning, siblings, peers, and your local community.

Conversations may prompt you to reconsider what you believe, how you communicate, and what you need from the people in your everyday life.

You may encounter perspectives that challenge your assumptions or find yourself wanting to speak up about something you’ve previously kept to yourself.

Try to stay curious, especially when a conversation touches a sensitive subject. Being open to another person’s perspective doesn’t mean you have to agree with it, and expressing your needs doesn’t require you to control someone else’s response.

Pay attention to the information you consume and share, too. Not everything that provokes a strong emotional reaction deserves your attention or amplification.

The goal isn’t to avoid difficult conversations. It’s to communicate with enough self-awareness that you can remain open to learning without losing sight of your own values.

Working With the Taurus Full Moon

You don’t need to predict what this Full Moon will bring to make meaningful use of its symbolism.

Instead, take a little time to reflect on the foundations of your life and the ways your understanding of security may be changing.

Consider journaling on these questions:

  • What currently helps me feel safe, grounded, and supported?
  • Which of my relationships offer mutual care, honesty, and respect?
  • Where am I confusing familiarity with genuine security?
  • Have my values changed since May? If so, how?
  • What can I nurture now that will support me over the long term?
  • Where am I being invited to adapt without abandoning what matters most to me?

You might also explore these themes creatively. Cook something nourishing, spend time in nature, make art, tend to your living space, or have an honest conversation with someone you trust.

Let the experience be an invitation to listen to yourself rather than another set of rules to follow.

The Taurus Full Moon reminds us that stability isn’t simply about keeping everything the same. It’s about understanding what matters enough to nurture, what has become too costly to maintain, and what we want our lives to be built upon.

Sometimes that means investing in our financial security. Sometimes it means strengthening our relationships. And sometimes it means acknowledging that the things we once relied on no longer reflect our values or meet our needs.

We can honor what has kept us safe without remaining bound to it forever.

You can honor what has kept you safe while making room for what will help you grow.

That is how we begin to build a more sustainable relationship with ourselves, our values, and the world around us.

Astrology is a tool for reflection and meaning-making, not a fixed prediction of your future. You always have agency in how you respond to what life brings your way.
