I am a western tropical astrologer, all of my updates will follow that astrological format. I use the sacred interpretation method meaning your astrological forecast will always be described in the sense that challenges are opportunities, not a form of punishment. And that you have free will, meaning nothing is set in stone, I use astrological forecasts to help give you permission to listen to your intuition and live your best life as your true authentic self.
I use the whole house sign system, meaning your rising sign rules the entirety of your first house and every person has all 12 zodiac energies within them. I use the archetypal energies of the planets, the zodiacs, and history to create something similar to a weather forecast so that you can make plans and validate your emotions based on the kind of energy you are swimming in at this time.
Of course, I can only give generic forecasts without looking at your unique individual chart. If you want a more personalized energy forecast or reading, I offer personalized astrological reports like a PDF, this is the most affordable option available on the elevated aura website, and I have one-on-one virtual readings as well, which you can schedule on the elevated aura website.
What Does the Energy of the Capricorn Super Full Moon Look Like?
A Full Moon is a time of completion, a time of closure, a time where we see things, when things become obvious to us because it’s being illuminated by the light of the Moon. Our attention can be pulled in a particular direction, usually the area of our life where the Full Moon is occurring.
On July 3, 2023, we will have a Super Full Moon in Capricorn, so whatever house Capricorn rules for you personally is likely the area of your life that will be calling your attention around this time. This Full Moon is a Super Moon which means the Moon is closer to Earth so it enhances the energy of the Full Moon; it’s more powerful than a traditional Full Moon
During a Full Moon the sun and moon are opposite one another, so the Moon is at 11 degrees, 18 minutes of Capricorn, and the Sun is at 11 degrees 18 minutes of Cancer.
This Full Moon is triggering the Capricorn-Cancer axis which is known as the Axis of Security, Capricorn is more concerned with physical security, material items, tradition, whereas Cancer is more concerned with emotional security, family life, home life. It’s also known as the Parental Axis where Cancer, ruled by the Moon, represents the nurturing maternal energy of the mother, and Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, represents the strict, paternal energy of the father.
During the Full Moon, there’s very little energy in air signs, so we’re not necessarily seeing things objectively, we’re likely to feel more emotional about our homes, our money, our career, our stability, safety, or we may feel more practical about these things.

What does Capricorn energy look like?
Capricorn is The Boss of the Zodiac. So it may not come as a surprise then that Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 10th house of career which includes your work, career, public image, leadership, and self employment.
Capricorn energy expresses itself in a fiery Cardinal way meaning that those with a lot of Capricorn placements tend to be those who are initiating, pioneering, creative, enterprising, they are not afraid to start something new let’s say. It is worth noting that the highest mission of Capricorn is the proper function of society in terms of fairness, justice, and equality for all its members.
Capricorns exemplify the values of hard work and accomplishment, and service to the goals of humanity. Their redemption comes when they allow the spiritual joy that they feel inside to fully express itself in graceful acts of loving-kindness.
But Capricorn is also an Earth energy, meaning those with Capricorn placements can be a bit resistant to fast-pace changes, they are more sensual, remember Earth energy is feminine, so it’s about being embodied, grounded, moving slow and sensual. The shadow side of that though can look like moving too slow, almost sloth-like, and just being lazy or resistant to change because it can be uncomfortable and it’s not always easy.
That being said though Capricorn people are ambitious and practical, and they tend to have an excellent sense of social responsibility. They also tend to be conscious of social mores, perhaps to the point of over-concern. Capricorn people tend to naturally be cautious, which allows them to advance slowly and steadily to the top. You’ve heard of the Tortoise and the Hare story? The tortoise epitomizes Capricorn energy – slow and steady wins the race, learning, adapting, adjusting as you go along.
The reward for those with Capricorn placements often looks like prestige, honor and success in public achievement. Although Capricorn energy is BOSS energy, Capricorn energy is also never feeling good enough; so in some way, the powerful, can’t be stopped ambition energy that Capricorns tend to have comes from deep-rooted feelings of insecurity.
Capricorns put themselves under enormous pressure and oftentimes feel personally responsible for the success, happiness, and well-being of those around them.
This could be again a way for Capricorns to prove themselves because oftentimes they suffered from a restrictive early environment, and their aloofness may serve to protect them from dealing with a fear of intimacy, or low self-esteem. This is also why if you know anyone with a lot of Capricorn placements, they tend to be more reserved, they like people around them to be tactful, practical, and keep secrets close to their heart.
What to Expect with the Energy of the Capricorn Full Moon?
With the Sun in Cancer and a Full Moon, this can be an emotional period of time. You may feel moody or like your emotions are on some kind of rollercoaster. We can even feel like we are picking up the emotions of those around us as well, and instead of letting these emotions pass, we may hold on to them. Our focus can be on what makes us feel safe and secure, so even if you are not a homebody, you may find yourself really valuing home life around this time.
The Full Moon tends to illuminate things we didn’t necessarily see or understand before, and with the Full Moon in Capricorn, we may find ourselves working through subconscious fears and internal power complexes. We may find that we struggle to be happy without feeling we have to achieve ambitious goals first. Some of us may find ourselves competing with others and overachieving before recognizing it doesn’t really make us happy as much as we believed it would.
Mercury is in Cancer, Cancer is connected to our long-term memory, so we may find ourselves living in the past, seeing things, remembering things that happened in the past. We are also likely to find ourselves more sensitive, psychic, intuitive more so than usual perhaps. If we find ourselves in a disagreement with others or having a different perspective, we may take it more personally than we normally would. On a more positive note, this energy can be great for artistic projects and abilities.
Venus is in the loyal and affectionate, fiery heart sign of Leo, which is bringing with it an energy of grand gestures, expressing our love and affection, being caring and compassionate. It’s likely we may find ourselves more attracted to others, specifically our romantic partner, at this time. For some partners, this extra love and affection may be welcome, for others it may feel a little bit too much. For those partners who are finding it to be too much, it’s possible that you may hear your partner say things like pay attention to me, they may make spontaneous plans, and just want to talk about anything and everything.
With Venus in Leo and the Sun in Cancer, we may also find ourselves wanting to decorate our homes, change our appearances, get new outfits, try a new hairstyle, etc. Just keep in mind that Venus is going retrograde shortly in July through September and we may not actually like these aesthetic changes or believe them to be as attractive as we do now once that retrograde completes this Fall.
Mars is also in Leo, which gives us more energy around our passionate nature, it can fuel a desire to be adventurous and physically active. But we can also come across as nervous, high-strung, and sarcastic. With our romantic partners we can seem selfish or jealous of others. So there is a little bit of dance here where we may feel like what we are saying or doing is witty but it could come across sharp and offensive to others, so it may benefit you long-term to avoid making comments unless you are confident it is kind and make sure that we are considering the needs and wants of others, not just our own.
Jupiter is in Taurus where it will be for the next year or so. This energy is amplifying Taurean topics like money, food, luxury, so keep an eye on your spending, what you’re eating, because with Jupiter expanding this Taurus energy, we can have a tendency to overeat, overspend, overindulge.
Saturn is retrograde in Pisces. A retrograde remember is just an opportunity to redo, reexamine, rethink our choices, thoughts, beliefs, actions in the past. And with Saturn, the fatherly Lord of Karma, and ruler of Capricorn, this energy is asking us to get clear on what we value, what we want, what we hope to accomplish. We may experience difficulties, limitations or delays, but this energy is really working to help us get clear on what is a priority for us, what we are willing to work hard to achieve, what we truly dream about.
Uranus is in Taurus, continuing to help us break out of a box of who we should be, and really figure out who we want to be without any kind of limitations. This energy is heightening our intuition and we may find ourselves filled with nervous energy, feeling oversensitive, or turning to drugs or other forms of escapism because the real world may feel mundane, we may fear our unique way of looking at the world. But again, this shakeup is helping us get in touch with what we truly value.
Neptune is retrograde in Pisces, like Saturn. With this energy we may not be seeing things clearly; in fact we may be seeing things through rose-colored glasses and finding ourselves really more interested and satisfied spending time doing things related to spirituality, music, art, or helping others. Caution though, we may find ourselves avoiding responsibility, idealizing people who don’t have our best interests in mind, and not really seeing the true picture, like when the fog rolls in.
Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn, so we are reexamining on an individual and collective scale, issues related to authority, power and control. This may be a time when you find yourself or your community rebelling against authority figures, or seeking out jobs for example that make you feel safe and secure. Perhaps you start your own business.
Transits
Overall the transits of this Capricorn Super Full Moon are positive and are working harmoniously with one another to help us better understand the world around us as well as communicate effectively and kindly with others. Expect this energy to increase your interest in spiritual topics like mysticism and the occult, as well as to find yourself feeling more psychically intuitive than normal.
Interest in humanitarian topics are likely to increase at this time, and we’re likely to push back against authority – both figures and institutions – on an individual and collective basis.
How will this Capricorn Full Moon Impact You Personally?
During the Capricorn New Moon last December, four of the six personal planets were in Capricorn: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Pluto was there as well.
Look at your natal chart and see which house does Capricorn rule for you. That is going to give you the best indication as to which area of your life is most likely being activated in some way with this Full Moon. If you are not an Aries rising, Capricorn will rule a different house than the 10th house, so look and see which house Capricorn rules for you.
Also look back at your journal, social media, your calendar, what was happening in your life on or around December 23, 2022? That’s when we had the New Moon in Capricorn because now six months later, things may be culminating, we are reaping the rewards, reaping what was sown at the time of the New Moon.
If you are a Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra, you are likely to feel the effects of this Full Moon the most, especially if you have any planets or angles, especially personal planets around 11 degrees of Cardinal Signs – Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra.
If you have personal planets around 11 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, Pisces or Scorpio, or angles around 11 degrees of these zodiac signs, you are likely to enjoy this Full Moon the most because the Moon is creating harmonious aspects between angles and planets in these signs more than any other.
I hope this helps you find some peace and validation during this time. Whatever happens externally at this time, know that you are safe. You are loved. You are divinely guided and supported and I love you.

Remember kindness starts within. If we were all to focus inward, to be kind to ourselves, before we started worrying about being kind to anyone else, this world would be such a different place.
