On July 21, 2024, we have the second of two back-to-back Full Moons in Capricorn at 3:16 AM Pacific Time.
The Moon will be at 29 degrees, 08 minutes of Capricorn, the final degree of Capricorn. During the first of the two back-to-back Capricorn Full Moon’s, the Moon was at 1 degrees and 06 minutes of Capricorn, the initial degree of Capricorn energy.
This is a rare occurrence to have two back-to-back Full Moons in the sign of Capricorn. It’s quite poetic to have the first Full Moon at the first degree of the sign, and the second, final Capricorn Full Moon at the last degree. It’s as if we are being given a taste of “reap what you sow” energy from the Universe, or more like, we had a sample of the seeds we planted at the first Capricorn Full Moon and now we’re deciding if we are all in on this ice cream flavor or do we want to pivot?

First, let’s talk about the basics of the Capricorn Full Moon on July 21, 2024.
This Full Moon is triggering the Capricorn-Cancer axis once again.
While Capricorn is more concerned with physical security, material items, tradition, Cancer is more concerned with emotional security, family life, home life.
It’s also known as the Parental Axis where Cancer, ruled by the Moon, represents the nurturing maternal energy of the mother, and Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, represents the strict, paternal energy of the father.
The July 2024 Full Moon in Capricorn is the second of two back-to-back Full Moon’s in Capricorn.
This Full Moon was at 1 degree in June but is now at 29 degrees. The first degree is indicative of new beginnings, whereas the 29th degree is more about completion, finishing a lesson, a challenge, or a chapter in our lives.
This Full Moon is the culminating point for the Capricorn New Moon which happened at the beginning of 2024. So think about what was going on in your life around the start of the New Year, because some things may become clearer, especially since the June Full Moon.
With the Sun in Cancer and a Full Moon, this can be an emotional period of time as the July Capricorn full moon makes a positive aspect to Neptune (dreams and vision), Mars (action), and Uranus (change).
You will have the chance to move forward on a new path, as the moon also sits next to Pluto (transformation) and squares off with Chiron (healing). This is a transformative time, but it will take sacrifice and work (Saturn).
You may feel moody, tired, or like your emotions are on some kind of rollercoaster.
We can even feel like we are picking up the emotions of those around us as well, and instead of letting these emotions pass, we may hold on to them. Our focus can be on what makes us feel safe and secure, so even if you are not a homebody, you may find yourself really valuing home life around this time.
The Full Moon tends to illuminate things we didn’t necessarily see or understand before, and with the Full Moon in Capricorn, we may find ourselves working through subconscious fears and internal power complexes.
We may find that we struggle to be happy without feeling we have to achieve ambitious goals first. Some of us may find ourselves competing with others and overachieving before recognizing it doesn’t really make us happy as much as we believed it would.
We may also have some realizations that we are not ready to share with others, but we may have aha moments as to how we self-sabotage.

Capricorn is the natural ruler of the 10th house of career which includes your work, career, public image, leadership, and self employment.
Capricorn energy expresses itself in a fiery Cardinal way meaning that those with a lot of Capricorn placements tend to be those who are initiating, pioneering, creative, enterprising, they are not afraid to start something new let’s say. It is worth noting that the highest mission of Capricorn is the proper function of society in terms of fairness, justice, and equality for all its members.
