On June 21, 2024, we have the first of two back-to-back Full Moons in Capricorn at 6:07 PM Pacific Time.
The Moon will be at 1 degrees and 06 minutes of Capricorn.
This Full Moon is triggering the Capricorn-Cancer axis which is known as the Axis of Security.
Capricorn is more concerned with physical security, material items, tradition, whereas Cancer is more concerned with emotional security, family life, home life.
It’s also known as the Parental Axis where Cancer, ruled by the Moon, represents the nurturing maternal energy of the mother, and Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, represents the strict, paternal energy of the father.
The June 2024 Full Moon in Capricorn is the first of two back-to-back Full Moon’s in Capricorn.
This Full Moon is at 1 degree, the following Full Moon in Capricorn will be at 29 degrees. The first degree is indicative of new beginnings, whereas the 29th degree is more about completion, finishing a lesson, a challenge, or a chapter in our lives.
This Full Moon is the culminating point for the Capricorn New Moon which happened at the beginning of 2024. So think about what was going on in your life around the start of the New Year, because some things may become clearer.
With the Sun in Cancer and a Full Moon, this can be an emotional period of time.
You may feel moody, tired, or like your emotions are on some kind of rollercoaster. We can even feel like we are picking up the emotions of those around us as well, and instead of letting these emotions pass, we may hold on to them. Our focus can be on what makes us feel safe and secure, so even if you are not a homebody, you may find yourself really valuing home life around this time.
The Full Moon tends to illuminate things we didn’t necessarily see or understand before, and with the Full Moon in Capricorn, we may find ourselves working through subconscious fears and internal power complexes. However, the Moon is opposing Venus, so we may be competitive when it comes to love, home life, or motherhood.
Luckily there is a harmonious trine with the Moon and Mars in Taurus. Mars doesn’t exactly like being in Venus-ruled Taurus because Taurus is slow and steady, whereas Mars is all about fast action. But this is actually doing us a favor because it’s allowing us to think a minute before we get aggressive.
So while we may be emotional, we may be able to hold our feelings close to our chest, which may be for our best interest in the end, because the Moon heightens our emotions and we don’t want to unnecessarily get into battles when it comes to love.
