Pisces New Moon

Feb. 27 | 4:44 PM Pacific | 9°, 40″ Pisces

How will this Pisces New Moon Affect You?

Find which house in your natal chart is ruled by Pisces. This will tell you which area of your life is being illuminated by this Pisces New Moon and will guide you in setting an intention for that particular area of your life during the New Moon.

If you have natal planets between 5-15 degrees of Mutable Signs: Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, and/or Sagittarius:

you are likely to feel the impact of this Pisces New Moon the most, especially if you have natal planets around 9 degrees of Mutable signs.

This is the fifth of five New Moons in a row all at 9 degrees.

The Ninth degree is ruled by Sagittarius and is an energy that is associated with higher education, learning, foreign travel, and having a plan

When setting your intention for the Pisces New Moon, think about:

What area of your life is being illuminated by this Pisces New Moon? What do you want to see more of or change in this area of your life? Where would you like to be or experience in this area of your life six months from now?

Be mindful about where are you aiming your arrow, where do you have your eyes, where is your focus?

Where your focus goes, energy flows.

Pisces New Moon Energy Themes:

  • There’s a big focus on our personal life, especially home, feelings, emotions, and close relationships especially with females. We’re also being asked to more closely examine the relationship we have with religion and the spirit world.
  • Good opportunity to look at what kind of bad habits we may have picked up, what may be an addiction. Pisces is connected to pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Likely to feel confident and enthusiastic about starting something new. Moderation will be key in terms of balancing our ability to have fun but not relaxing or partying so hard we don’t have the ability to handle the responsibilities of the real world.
  • Big focus on relationships and sexuality. If you’re in a relationship you may notice an increased sex drive, you and your partner may feel this magnetic pull toward one another and feel this passionate desire. There is a primal urge for physical pleasure that is making it almost difficult to have a conversation because that animal instinct to share our affection is so strong right now.
  • Be cautious about the temptation for affairs. Changing moods and tastes may make you more impulsive and lead you astray, causing unwanted repercussions, embarrassment, and scandal. I see this breaking relationships and the affair doesn’t look like it would last either. Loyalty and devotion will be rewarded.
  • If you are dating, this is a good time to ask someone out. It’s okay to be direct and assertive, you’ll come off as honest and sincere more so than bossy or rude. Your charisma and sex appeal is increasing.
  • Keep yourself busy by looking into religion, spirituality, studying the humanities or social sciences, art too. Beware of cults and charismatic leaders.
  • As confident, proud, lucky and optimistic as we may feel, we could suddenly experience loss and public embarrassment. Be respectful, take your time especially on group projects.
  • Negative thinking could lead to depression, difficulties in communication. Or your harsh, critical words could lead to coldness, isolation, or rejection in relationships.
  • Careful to not overly push your body, you may strain a muscle or burn yourself out. You could also experience mental exhaustion or confusion. Do your best to release your energy especially anger and frustration in a physically productive way such as sports, exercise or masturbation. Even more physical art like sculptures or dance.
  • Caution when it comes to spending money, overeating or overindulging in drugs, alcohol, gambling, or anything that is addictive to you. If you are blessed with gifts, money or compliments, that good fortune could go as quickly as it seemed to enter your life.
  • Charitable work will likely feel fulfilling at this time. Even having serious discussions about hardships in life could lead to useful outcomes for the many. You may be asked to be a mentor, especially by a younger person. Or perhaps your ancestors will visit you in the dream world.
  • This is a great time for starting long-term projects, signing business deals, meeting new people from different backgrounds, socializing, and developing psychic abilities.
  • There seems to be a blended energy of common sense, creativity, calculated risks, and constructive changes that is paying off in the end. Old restrictions may be lifted.

If you are a: Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius Sun or Rising:

You are likely to find this time around the Pisces New Moon a bit more turbulent as there are challenging angles with your natal planets. Remember challenges are good for our growth. And before we can welcome new things, we have to get rid of the old energy.

If you are a: Taurus, Scorpio, Cancer, or Capricorn Sun or Rising:

You are likely to enjoy this Pisces New Moon the most, as you have natal planets and angles forming harmonious aspects. Take advantage of this positive momentum and set a powerful intention in this area of your life.

If you are an: Aries, Libra, Aquarius, or Leo Sun or Rising:

This is not the most powerful New Moon for you, as your natal planets are not really activated during the Pisces New Moon. However, it’s still important to set an intention in this area of your life as other energy is also at play.

Pisces is the Dreamer of the Zodiac

Pisces is a very ethereal, loving, magical, artistic, dreamy energy.

Pisces is a mutable water sign, a feminine yin energy, and the natural ruler of the 12th house of spirituality, which rules the subconscious mind, dreams, intuition, instinct, hypnosis, secrets, and everything hidden or that is part of the mysterious side of life, namely the behind-the-scenes or underground activity that you are not aware of or that you must keep confidential.

Ruled by Neptune & Jupiter

Pisces is ruled by two planets: Jupiter and Neptune. Jupiter is the old ruler of Pisces, Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces.

Pisces is an energy that doesn’t have boundaries, it’s why the zodiac is symbolically represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. It shows that Pisces is an energy that knows no bounds, so it’s fitting that the ruling planets of Pisces would both be expansive energy.

Jupiter is a lucky planet that expands luck or positive rewards in an area of our life. Jupiter is very future oriented – all about big dreams, encouraging us to dream bigger than you’ve ever dreamed before.

Neptune similarly expands things, especially energy related to spirituality, creativity, and intuition. It can also represent illusions, escapism, and deception, which is why Neptune is also connected to pharmaceutical drugs and pollution.

The shadow side of Pisces energy is connected to addictions, toxicity, instability, and lies. Pisces can be mistaken or led astray, let’s say, by rose colored glasses; for believing that things are good and pure even when they are not.

Pisces is a mutable water sign, a feminine yin energy.

When empowered, Pisces energy is incredibly creative and artistic. People who have strong Pisces energy tend to dress colorfully, they love to live in this fairytale-like state of mind where magic and dreams and fairies all exist.

Pisces is a water sign, like Cancer and Scorpio, but unlike Cancer and Scorpio who try to keep a calm outer appearance and let their emotions flow more privately, Pisces is not afraid to display feelings.

The shadow side of Pisces energy is very addictive and unstable. It’s that energy that keeps you stuck in an addiction even when you know it’s bad for you; that’s the shadow side of Pisces.
